Re: New baclofen pump

Hi Ashley, Welcome to the forum. I have had mine for quite some time. In regards to your questions, I have not experienced the increased sensitivity. I did experience the csf leaks. That was probably one of the worst experiences I have ever had. I was down for about 6 weeks. There should be no need ...

Re: please tell me what has happened??

Hi, Welcome to the forum. I doubt that it has do do with the homeopathy medicines but I am not a doctor and cannot say for certain. Most likely it just has to do with growth. I experienced the same when I was growing up. I have spastic diaplegia which causes my muscles in my legs to stay tense. As m...

Re: Hello I have CP

Hi Spooks,
Glad to hear that you are not letting CP get in your way. I am 35 now and have had a job since I was 16. I do, or attempt to do, anything most others do and do not let my CP get in the way. Keep it up!

Re: New to the forum

Hi,
Welcome to the forum. It sounds like the doctors are just guessing at this point. Were are you located? Is there a Shriners near by? Shriners has a lot of experience in assisting children with disabilities so it wouldn't be a bad idea to look into it.

Re: CP and starting a family

Hi Kevin, This is Mike. I created and administer the board. Not sure if you had a chance to read about me. I am a father of a 20 month old daughter and I have CP. My wife does not so that does make things a bit easier on me. I walk with crutches but am able to walk around the house without them. It ...

Re: Tough start for little Marissa

Hi Eric, I wish Marissa the best and understand your frustration. It does sound like she might have relatively mild CP like I do. I get around pretty well and do use crutches for long walks. It sounds like you are already well on the way to getting the proper treatment for her. Also, if you have a S...

Cerebral Palsy and Motor Recovery

Hi All, I just received an email from a journalist who is working on an article about brain injury and motor recovery. She is looking for individuals who have hemiparesis (weakness/paralysis on one side of the body) due to cerebral palsy. She is looking for individuals who may be interested in talki...

Transportation Issues

If you have read the "About Me" section, you know that I now have a child that is a little over 1 year old. Due to my mobility issues and tendencies to fall from time to time, I knew that I could not hold my baby and walk at the same time...too much risk! After some thinking, I was able to...
