Bike recommendations for 11 year old with CP

Postby mekkerbear » Sun Feb 26, 2012 8:08 pm

Hi, I work with an 11-year old girl who has Cerebral Palsy. She would love to have a bike so that she can ride around outside with her friends this summer. However, she has difficutly with balance and is unable to pedal a bike. I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for a good motorized/electric 3 or 4 wheeler for an 11-year old girl to ride outside with her friend.

Freedom Concepts actually makes bikes specifically for children/adults with cerebral palsy and other neurological disorders. They literally build each bike to each clients needs and believe anybody is able to ride a bike. Before getting a Freedom bike my brother had a big Schwinn 3 wheel bike that we got from walmart. We rigged straps for his feet and taped his hand on and he was ready to go. Where are you located?
